Basically Heat Engine is a "perfect gas" simulator which allows to reproduce standard termodynamic processes such as isochoric, isopressure, isotermal and adiabatic transforms. The ideal gas is contained in a cylinder closed by a piston so that the system can transform heat in work and vice versa.
Heat Engine provides a wide range of simulated measurement instruments which permit to control the thermodynamic process.
Heat Engine represents an useful educational tool introducing thermodynamic fundamentals and laws.
